Landing Pages Writing Tips
If you find developing landing pages a very tough task here are some guidelines which will help to get you all the results you are looking for.
When you are writing the headline you should refer directly to the ad copy or the place from where you got the visitor. You should try and keep the language same, so that your visitor stays engaged and oriented.
Your landing page should be clear about the call to option. You might be using hot linked text or graphic buttons, but you have to tell your reader what needs to be done. You should ideally use 2 calls for action if the landing page is short and at least 5 calls if the landing page is long. It is advisable to write using the second person, no matter how big your company is. This way, it helps to relate to the company in an informal manner.
You should not show your writing skills or creativity in landing pages. It is important to be persuasive and clear while writing landing pages. It is ideal if you keep your opening paragraph limited to just 2 lines and no other paragraph in your landing page should be more than 4-5 lines. You might write a long copy but you have to ensure that your readers are not getting bored. You have to keep your message strong and very motivating – to such an extent that it helps you to close a sale.
You should be very clear with your goals and what you desire from your customers. Always keep the important facts at the beginning. If you have many things to say, you should use bulleted points because your readers might be just skimming through – your landing page should make your message clear.
Remember that you should remove all unwanted things from your landing page – this might divert the attention of your readers. You should not ask for anything which you do not need to make the sale or for the fulfillment of your need. Do not assume anything but provide everything which your readers might want to know before they come to a decision.
